Preferred Name: “Jin” pronounced the same as “gin.”

Regardless of race, ethnicity, class, or culture, what binds us all together is the deep pain that comes from the distorted beliefs we hold about ourselves, such as feeling not good enough, damaged, and inadequate.

I aim to help driven, high-achievers to feel confident, capable and unstoppable to step into their better path.

About Me

My dream of becoming a therapist was sparked when I was 14 years old, upon witnessing the impact of family issues on the mental health of my peers. The emotional struggles mostly stemmed from dysfunctional family dynamics, including unhealthy parental relationships, emotional neglect and abandonment, abuse, rigid or critical parenting methods, and lack of healthy emotional support.

From a young age, I learned that many of us who seem to have it all on the outside hide behind a mask, clinging to shame, guilt, and deep-seated insecurities. Over the past 15 years, I have dedicated myself to helping thousands of individuals by adopting effective approaches and challenging myself to grow as a clinician so that I can provide the best care possible for all of my clients.

Today, I am committed and passionate about helping high-achieving adults like yourself lead a more fulfilling life, free from the cycle of anxiety and self-doubt.

We can easily get caught up in the responsibilities and throes of life and be stuck in the endless pursuit of achievements, but is it worth it if we can’t stop to enjoy or feel good about ourselves?

The unknown can be unnerving, and you may not know what lies ahead, but my hope is that you will take a leap of faith to embark on your healing journey today. And…I have a strong inkling that this one step you take will lead to a better path than where you are today.

MY Approach

How I work— here’s what I believe about therapy

My approach is that one size does not fit all. I am not just saying this; it’s an area where I see clients and clinicians struggle throughout my career. Just because we are trained professionals does not mean we are the expert and have the “cure” or know everything that is going to work for you.

You have become who you are today because of all your unique experiences, and that is why I take a collaborative approach, discovering what you have already tried, pinpointing what has and has not worked, and establishing and expanding on what is working for you. This is key to ensuring that your time and investment are worthwhile in reaching the goals you have set for yourself.

Let me share my deepest wish as a therapist — it is for you to become your own therapist because achieving this means you’ve developed the confidence and skills to trust and rely on yourself.
